Hades Supergiant Games created the rogue-like dungeon crawler video game Hades, which was intended for Microsoft Windows. The player assumes the position of Zagreus, the Underworld prince, who is attempting to flee the kingdom to reach Mount Olympus and escape his heartless father, Hades. The other Olympians aid him in his quest by giving him gifts to aid in his battle against the creatures guarding the Underworld’s entrance. The user controls Zagreus, and the game is shown in an isometric perspective.
To begin a game run-through, the player must battle their way through a series of chambers; the room layouts are preset, but their order. and the enemies that appear are randomly determined. The player has a primary weapon, a special attack, and a magic spell that they can use to take out enemies.
